Welcome to our
Kwajalein, or "Kwaj" page. This is our page dedicated
to Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands, which was our home away from
home for 6 years. Links to Kwaj stuff on this site (many questions
are answered in our guestbook as well):

You'll find
everything you want to know about Kwajalein on this page* (or links
to it anyway) including: vital statistics, info about jobs and living
here, links to other Kwaj sites, and lots of fairly recent photographs.
*Note:
we no longer live on Kwaj so this information is for entertainment
purposes only. It is no longer necessarily up-to-date. In other
words: buyer beware!
If you click
on the picture to the top left you will see the full version of
that photograph with labels to important spots on Kwajalein and
surrounding areas.
Enjoy and thanks
for visiting! ~ The Wrights
About
Kwaj: Kwajalein is located in the middle of the Pacific
Ocean, approximately half-way between Hawaii and Australia. At only
8.7 degrees North latitude (ie 8 degrees north of the equator),
Kwajalein's climate is the definition of tropical. The temperature
of the surrounding ocean runs in the 80s year round so the air temperature
on Kwajalein rarely strays far from that range either. Tropical
storms are rare, and Typhoons rarer, but they do occur.
Kwajalein Island,
pictured above, is the southern-most, and biggest, island of the
100+ islands that make up Kwajalein Atoll. The United States Army
Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) and Ronald
Reagan Ballistic Missile Test Site (RTS) are located on Kwajalein
and several other islands in the Atoll.
More info can
be found on our photos page, links
page, jobs page, or frequently
answered questions page.

settings on your computer. If they are not correct, you risk calling
your friends or family on Kwaj at ungodly hours! :)
